Unlike traditional key services, the QR code keychain provides a direct digital notification. The owner is informed promptly and can decide how and when to respond in order to organize a handover or safe drop-off.
How it works:
- Someone finds the lost keys and scans the QR code.
- The owner automatically receives an email notification that the QR code has been scanned.
- The finder can optionally enter their name, phone number or email address and a short message via a contact form.
- The message is sent by email to the owner without revealing the owner’s contact details to the finder.
- The owner decides if and how to make contact to arrange a handover location.
- If desired, the finder can also share their current location.
- The keys are returned at the individually agreed meeting point.
