Thanks to the geolocation feature, the finder can easily share their current location – especially helpful in forests, fields, or remote areas without an address. The location is instantly emailed to the stored contact persons – no registration or login required by the finder.

The integrated pinboard function also allows real-time exchange of photos and messages – such as images of the found pet or suggestions for a meeting point. This makes reunions easier and faster.

Recommentation: Installation on Smartphones

Make it easier to access your data without having to scan the QR code again by saving it directly to your smartphone.

Android: Smartphone, Tablet (Chrome browser)

In the browser menu, select   “Add to Home screen”. Choose a name and complete the process by tapping “Add”. An icon will then appear on your home screen. Just like a native app, you can now easily access your QR code online.

Apple: iPhone, iPad (Safari browser)

In the browser menu  next to the address bar, tap the icon with the upward arrow and select “Add to Home Screen”. You can then choose a memorable name and finish the process by tapping “Add”. A shortcut icon will be added to your home screen.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Please protect the printed or engraved QR code from mechanical damage such as impacts, scratches, or abrasion. Avoid contact with chemicals and prolonged exposure to direct sunlight. The tag can be cleaned gently using lukewarm water, mild soap, and a soft brush with minimal pressure.

Not suitable for washing machines.

Important: Do not attach the leash to the ring of the pet tag. The ring is not designed for leash attachment and may break.

If the QR code becomes unreadable, you won’t lose any data! All information is securely stored in a Swiss data center and can be linked to a new DynaTag at any time. You can also access and update your data anytime via your DynaTag or Thync.it account.

Our aluminum SOS pet tag with QR code is a modern pet identification system packed with essential information about your pet. The engraved QR code leads to a customizable emergency web app with key details such as medical information, contacts, and even a message board where all involved parties can exchange pictures and messages in real time—no registration required.

The pet tag makes communication between the finder and the pet owner much easier.

What information can be accessed via the QR code?

Via the QR code, the pet finder or veterinarian (e.g. in an emergency) can access the following information without registration:

How secure is my data on the web app?

Privacy is our top priority. All data stored with us is strictly confidential and will never be analyzed or shared with third parties.

You have full control over which information is visible when the QR code is scanned.

We recommend storing sensitive data separately or sharing it personally with your emergency contact in advance.

What happens when someone scans the pet tag QR code?

When the QR code is scanned by someone, a personalized emergency page automatically opens in the smartphone's browser—no additional app is required. The location of the person who scanned the code can also be detected and shared (legal consent from the finder is required). This way, you can see where your pet was located. Ideal for emergencies or lost pets.

Can I update or change the data myself?

Yes! With your purchase, you’ll receive free access to your personal user account (created during activation). From there, you can update information remotely at any time, upload new images, or modify existing details—easily from your smartphone, tablet, or computer.

Are there any subscription fees or monthly costs?

No! With your purchase, your SOS pet tag can be used without any additional costs for a full 5 years. After that, it can be extended for another 5 years with a one-time renewal fee.

Can I track the location of my lost pet?

No, the SOS pet tag is not a GPS tracker. You cannot actively track your pet’s location like with a GPS collar.

However: If someone scans the QR code (e.g. a finder or vet), their location can be recorded – with their consent – and sent to you. This lets you know where your pet was last seen – perfect for emergencies.
